Hi all and welcome back to Tm-Dancer! Thank you so much for continuing to come back to my page and for reading my posts. It means a lot to me! I have decided to do a post about how October was for me!
First of all I love October! It is always the first time when it really begins to feel like you can wrap up warm now and light the fire in the evenings and drink hot chocolate and start to plan for Christmas! I love autumn for the fact that you can wear jumpers, knits, sweaters, scarfs and coats. I love nothing more than wrapping up in cosy clothes and going out to brave the elements on a Saturday to go for lunch or a bit of retail therapy.
This October was a turning point for me. I am married now! Weird! ha! And I want to buy a house in the not so distant future. So this month meant setting plans and budgets with my husband in order to achieve our joint goals. We are both lucky enough to be working but we both want more also. My husband is in a band which he co-owns with three of the other members. He also works in a pub which doesn’t fulfil his job desires.
I have a job too. I work in a creche, my mom’s creche. I am assistant manager and work up to 50 hours per week. But I still want more. I want to do something for me. Something that I love, that makes me jump up in the morning ready to tackle the day and succeed and achieve all my goals. That doesn’t mean I don’t like my job- I do! I love it! The kids make me laugh every day and I am in charge of the paperwork which I also enjoy as I love being organised. But I still want more! So this month I decided enough was enough! I had been thinking about starting a blog for way too long. So I am doing it! I started it on the 1 October 2017 and I am going to work my ass off to make it a success and to some day make it my main wage earner!
I have been so busy this year with my wedding, honeymoon and I was also in college doing my Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education that I haven’t had much time to catch up with my friend! That all changed this month also. Two of my friends have their birthdays in October and they had a joint birthday bash so all of the girls met up for drinks, nibbles and chats! It was amazing to catch up with them. The last time I had seen most of the girls was at my wedding! I love that no matter how long it has been since I’ve seen my friends, we pick up where we left off and it is as if we see each other every day! I don’t know what I’d do without them and I am so grateful for them!
This Saturday the clocks are going back in Ireland which means we get an extra hour in the morning. It also means that the mornings will be darker and the evenings will get darker earlier. Usually at this time of year I would be saying, “we get an extra hour in bed”. This year I am looking at it differently. I am looking at that extra hour in the morning to be productive. It will be easier to get out of the bed at 6am when my body still thinks it’s 7am. So I have planned to use the extra hour in the morning to better myself and try and achieve some goals I have set for myself, my blog, my life in general. I will do a full post on exactly what I am doing with my mornings when I get a routine going next week.
So that’s just some of the things I having been loving and feeling extremely grateful for this month. The reason I decided to do this post today is that I have been feeling a bit down this month. Sometimes I get stuck on the idea that I am not enough, I don’t do enough, I am not getting to where I want to be fast enough. So I took a step back and looked at my life from the outside and realised that I am doing the best I can. And that is good enough and that in time I will achieve everything I want because I am working consistently towards each goal. So if you are feeling something similar, do what I did and remind yourself that you are doing all that you can and be happy with what you have right now but never stop pushing for better.
